Technology Coordinator (Full Time/12 month) (EXTERNAL POSITION)

The following non-instructional position is anticipated for the 2015-2016 school year.

Technology Coordinator (Full Time/12 month)

Applicant must have a degree in computer science, instructional technology or business, as well as experience in technology in a school setting, preferred.

Performance Responsibilities and Job Tasks:

The primary responsibility of the Technology Coordinator is to plan, develop, implement, direct, review, and evaluate the programs and activities related to instructional and information technology under the general direction of the Superintendent.

Programs and activities include use of technology to improve staff productivity and student learning; use of technology to maintain data and meet reporting requirements; maintain and administer district-wide networks, servers, firewalls, and related computing environments including computer hardware, systems software, applications software, and all configurations; coordination of purchase, installation, repair and use of electronic equipment, software, computers, and peripherals; coordination of staff training to optimize technology use; development, optimization, and oversight of district technology budget and development and implementation of a district-wide technology plan. Experience working with end-user technical support at Tier 1 & 2 levels.

Must maintain the district website, be familiar with NJ State data collections (i.e. NJ Smart) and NJ State mandated testing (i.e. PARCC and NJask).

Strong oral and written communication and organization skills, with special attention to detail. Must be able to work independently. Must be able to lift heavy equipment

Learning Disabilities Teacher-Consultant (LDTC) (EXTERNAL POSITION)

Learning Disabilities Teacher-Consultant (LDTC)

  • Required, NJ Educational Services Certificate and Learning Disabilities Teacher-Consultant Endorsement.

  • Minimum of 5 years of teaching experience in the area of special education and/or prior experience as an LDTC - preferred.

  • Experience in the administration and interpretation of evaluation instruments necessary to determine eligibility for special education and related services.

  • Evidence of in-depth knowledge of special education programming and curriculum.

  • Understanding of the IEP process; knowledge of laws and regulations governing special education.

  • Experience using IEP Direct, preferred.

  • Knowledge of Wilson/Orton, required.

  • Experience with differentiation and inclusion practices.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Ability to coordinate activities from many sources and collaborate with classroom teachers, administrators, CST members, and parents for the benefit of students.

  • Employment Period:   Ten (10) Months

  • Criminal History Required.

Supervisor of Special Services (EXTERNAL POSITION)

Supervisor of Special Services

  • Required,  NJ School Administrator/Principal Certificate/Supervisor Certificate
  • Minimum of 5 years of teaching experience in the area of special education
  • Experience in scheduling
  • Experience using IEP Direct, required
  • Knowledge of Wilson/Orton, required
  • Experience with Inclusion Process
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, a collaborative management style with strong interpersonal skills, visionary leader with a focus on student achievement
  • Responsibilities include oversight of Chapter 192/193 programs, ESL, Speech, OT, PT, Counseling, CST, Nursing and Direct Services to Public School
  • Employment Period: Twelve (12) Months
  • Criminal History Required
